#APRSThursday

A public, independent view of #APRSThursday activity observed by a passive APRS-IS listener. The page focuses on packets actually received by this observer, then turns those observations into searchable messages and lightweight analytics for the selected net or the observed in-net series.

About this data

Unofficial view

I am not affiliated with #APRSThursday net administration. This page is an independent view of observed activity, not an official participation count or authoritative archive.

Observed-only data

The numbers on this page are calculated only from packets received by this APRS-IS listener. External APRSFI, APRSTO, and APRSPH exports are not merged into the public counts.

Messages

Messages are packet-level observations addressed to tracked #APRSThursday destinations, currently ANSRVR and APRSPH. Repeated transmissions from the same station are counted separately.

Check-ins

Check-ins are observed messages that match the enabled participation rules. The default rules count CQ HOTG messages sent to ANSRVR and HOTG messages sent directly to APRSPH.

Participants

Participants are unique base callsigns derived from counted check-ins. SSIDs are removed, so KJ5LOX-5 and KJ5LOX-7 count as one participant: KJ5LOX.

UTC net window

Net analytics use the selected Thursday UTC window, from 0000Z through 2359Z. Packets outside that window are not counted for that net.

External roster differences

External summaries may use a different method, such as merging APRSFI, APRSTO, and APRSPH data, removing SSIDs, sorting, and de-duplicating base callsigns. Those rosters are useful for comparison, but they are not the same metric as this listener's observed messages, check-ins, or participants.

Derived metadata

Countries, devices, tags, altitude, and speed are derived from APRS packets and reference data, so some values can be incomplete or inferred.

Current Net status

Live net in progress

The active net window is 2026-06-25 00:00Z - 2026-06-26 00:00Z. Observations and analytics refresh every 60 seconds while this page remains open.

Latest observed net

Latest observed net: 2026-06-25 00:00Z - 2026-06-26 00:00Z. It ended at 2026-06-26 00:00Z.

Next net

Next net starts at 2026-07-02 00:00Z. Time remaining: 6d 14h 12m.

Live refresh

Enabled every 60 seconds for the active net and series analytics.

Observed data

Browse the raw observations behind the analytics. Use column filters to narrow the data, including off-net records when you want to inspect the full observed audit trail.

Analytics from observed packets

The analytics below are calculated only from packets observed by this listener. Each card can compare the selected net with the observed in-net series where that comparison makes sense.
